1. HEAD OF FINANCE (SABAH ELECTRICITY SDN. BHD.)

Responsibilities:
The successful incumbents will:
•Be responsible for the overall financial and management accounting functions of the company.
•Lead and supervise a team of finance staff, and work closely with the business units towards achieving the strategic objectives of the company.
•Advises and supports the Managing Director and department managers in all key commercial decisions.
•Oversees all accounting and reporting processes and ensures timely submission of accurate management reports.
•Be responsible to provide commentaries and analysis of monthly financial performance of the business units.
•Ensure the existence of a robust financial controls environment and promoting ownership of financial controls within the company including process compliance and tax compliance.
•Ensure an effective control system is in place to safeguard the assets of the company and compliance to accounting standard and requirement.
•Be responsible for the Cash flow management; liaising and negotiating with bankers & financial institutions.
•Enhance financial position of the company by implementing funding options and debt recoveries options for revenue enhancement.
•Oversee and ensure smooth operations of MIS functions and ERP system implementation.
•Be responsible for the management of the subordinates which include but not limited to recruitment, training, supervising and evaluating performance.

Requirements:
The prospective candidate should:
•Possess a good degree majoring in accountancy or finance and/or professional accounting qualifications.
•Be a member of Malaysia Insitute of Accountants (MIA) and a recognised accounting professional body e.g: ICAEW, CIMA, CPA (Australia)
•Have a minimum of 10 years post-qualifying experience in an accounting practice with 7 or more years of hands-on-standard costing experience preferably in utility environment.

A self-starter with an innate drive for achievement, a high degree of integrity, independent and possess good quality leadership skills, ability in managing change, strong analytical, planning and organising skills as well as excellent interpersonal and business communications skills in Bahasa Melayu and English are prerequisites for the above position.
